Below we have briefly discussed a variety of ways to cook Catfish:
Prepare the Fish: Rinse the Catfish fillet under cold water, and dry them with a paper towel, which will absorb all the moisture.
Make the cornmeal mix: To make the cornmeal mix, mix salt, flour, cornmeal, pepper, paprika, creole and salt together in a small dish.
Combine ½ cup of flour (All-purpose), ½ cup of Yellow cornmeal, ½ tsp. of Paprika, 1 tsp. Of salt, 1 tsp of creole and ¼ tsp. of black pepper in a dish.
Pour ¾ cup of milk into a shallow dish.
Coat the catfish with milk and then the cornmeal mixture.
Heat butter (3 tbsp.) in a pan and place it over high heat.
Fry all the fillets in the pan for up to 3 minutes.
Preheat the fryer to 176 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
Whisk cayenne, salt, cornmeal, baking powder and flour together.
