When you want a sheet pan meal, you can always use the big sheet pan that comes with it, and you’ll love the recipes included. 

How Well Does it Perform?

Known as one of the top performers in the industry, Ninja is well-known for their kitchen products that make cooking a lot easier and more convenient for all family members. All of their products have received generally positive reviews and the Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven is no exception.   

Air Frying

When it comes to air frying, the Ninja Foodi isn’t the best available option in the market but it’s definitely not the worst we’ve seen. While frying french fries and chicken wings, it offered uneven results and the food actually seemed more baked than fried. Their website claims this model has a 4-pound cooking capacity, but when we placed that amount into the air fryer basket, it couldn’t fit everything to be air-fried.   

Toasting

The Ninja Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven does much better in terms of toasting and can easily work on 9 slices of toast without getting too cramped, providing an even toast throughout. It also comes with a special bagel setting that uniformly toasts your bagel halves. The only thing we didn’t like was that it doesn’t come with a setting for a light toast and will leave a golden-brown color on slices of bread even on the light setting. 

Air Roasting

If you’re looking for a healthy meal consisting of vegetables, spices, and protein, then you’ll love the recipe book that comes with this air fryer oven. Using broccoli, sweet potatoes, and chicken, you can make easy sheet pan dinners for four guests with impressive results. All of these ingredients will come out tender and lightly brown in as little as 22 minutes — the book will also give you good practice if you’re not familiar with air roasting. 

Baking

Using a shallow pan, you’ll be able to bake muffins or a cake with this Ninja. However, it won’t be able to fit a Bundt pan or an entire loaf of bread — on the other hand, it can also bake cookies straight from the sheet pan. You’ll love the fact that it bakes biscuits just as well as full-sized ovens. 

Air Broiling

In just 20 minutes, this air broiler will give you browned and juicy chicken breasts. But we also found that steaks will look gray outside when you choose to cook them well-done and don’t resemble grilled or broiled meat in any way. While this countertop oven can cook meat quickly, it won’t always deliver consistent results. 

Dehydrating

Unfortunately, the dehydrating function isn’t the best in this oven; while it can hold more food compared to other air fryers, it can only dry a little bit of food. After dedicating a cooking time of 10 hours to the dehydrator, it delivered a small portion of banana chips. A positive takeaway from this experience was that it functioned quietly the whole time. 

Keep Warm

For 2 hours, this air fryer oven was able to keep food under a safe serving temperature so you can eat it even after you’ve finished cooking a while ago. However, it would be dry by the time you get to it, so if you won’t be serving your meal in the next half an hour then it’s better to refrigerate your food and then reheat it.
