Jam heart cookies have recently gained enormous popularity because of a viral Tiktok video recipe. A soft, buttery cookie with a heart-shaped middle filled with cherry jam.
Although I’m sure, Valentine’s Day is the time of year when they’re most popular. I like eating and making these cookies all year long, and it’s great fun to bake cookies.
These Jam Heart Cookies are the favorite cookies of many people. Heart-shaped jam cookies with strawberry jam are the perfect treat for the holiday season.
These jam biscuits in the form of hearts were well-liked even before the TikTok video went viral. Be sure to add this to a recipe card and save it for later because these are going to be a hit!
The Jam Heart Cookies full recipe is shared below:
- Lime Juice
- Unsalted Butter / Vegan Butter (room temperature)
- Egg Yolk
- Frozen Cherries
- Granulated Sugar
- Vanilla Extract
- Powdered Sugar
- Almond Extract
- Corn Starch
- All-purpose Flour
Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine the lime juice, sugar, frozen cherries, and dry ingredients. Cook for approximately 20 minutes at medium-high heat or until most of the liquid has evaporated and the mixture has thickened.
Step 2: After allowing it to cool, use a stick or conventional blender to smooth up the jam.
Step 3: Put a cookie sheet in the heated oven and preheat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4: In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine the butter and powdered sugar and beat for approximately five minutes or until smooth and creamy. This will result in what we call cream butter. If you don’t have a stand mixer, a large bowl will also work, along with a hand mixer.
Step 5: Add the vanilla and almond extracts next, followed by each egg yolk one at a time. Mix well at a medium speed.
Step 6: Add the cup of flour and cornstarch, then blend well.
Step 7: Using your thumb, push twice into the dough ball to form a finished heart shape. Take 1 tablespoon balls of dough and roll it into a ball before placing it on the baking sheet.
Step 8: Repeat with the remaining cookie dough balls, leaving approximately 2-3″ between each cookie, and fill with a little jam.
Step 9: Cookies should be baked for 10–15 minutes, removed from the oven, and then left to cool for 10 minutes before being moved to a cooling rack or wire rack to finish cooling. Once you have cool cookies, be sure to serve them with a cup of tea or coffee.
Step 10: Store heart jam cookies in an airtight container.
