It is safe to assume that beans will remain okay in your car after grocery shopping. You can finish your work and let them sit in the car until you get home to store them properly. Store-bought beans are made shelf-stable and can sit at room temperature when unopened.

Unopened canned and uncooked beans pose no threat to their safety and remain fine during power outages. However, cooked beans in your refrigerator can start turning bad after four hours of a power outage. It is best to consume it before it starts to turn bad.
