The easy way to store and unopened tofu is to store it in a refrigerator. However, if you bought it from a shelf, store it at room temperature. The other way to store tofu is to cover it in water and change the water daily.

As we leave tofu at room temperature after opening it, it becomes a home for all bacteria. To avoid this, you have to cover it properly while placing it on the shelf or wherever you want.
The refrigerator type can only be stored in the refrigerator to get a better result once opened; you have to store the tofu in a tight container to keep it safe from moisture or other contaminants.
Can You Freeze Tofu?

Cooked tofu usually has more life than uncooked tofu for almost 3 or 4 more days. Simple is that if you want to use the tofu for a week, cook all the tofu and store the rest cooked tofu in the refrigerator for about 6 to 7 days. How to Tell if Tofu Is Bad?
If tofu is bad, there is no need for any instrument or many other things to do. Your sense of smell, taste and six sense are usually the perfect way to tell if the tofu is bad or not.
- The major and common way of telling if the tofu is bad is to check its color from white toward yellow, and it will have a sour smell. Fresh tofu does not have any smell. So, if you get funky smell, it means that you need to discard your tofu. So before using it, first try to figure out the signs of spoilage and then use it.
- You can also use your sense of taste if you want to confirm that your tofu has gone bad. Just taste a very small sample and if it taste other than good, like sour or funky, you know you will have to discard it.
